Holidays in the Dordogne Region

The Dordogne is one of the most visited places on the planet and once you've discovered this beautiful region you'll understand why.

The Dordogne was home to prehistoric man and after this the Gauls and the Romans; all have left their mark.

Taking it's name from the mighty river that divides the department, the Dordogne offers something for everyone. La Petite Forêt is perfectly placed between Bergerac and Perigueux, making visits to all of the Perigord's most popular destinations a short car ride away.

You'll find a thousand and one chateaux in the region, each steeped in history. We have every kind of sport including golf, fishing, rugby, horse riding, walking and cycling.

There are a host of tourist activities, lakes and river beaches and amusement parks for children. And of course french markets, bastide towns and almost daily festivals throughout the summer season.

All of this is on our doorstep; the nearest lake with a beach and activities for the children is just 5 minutes away.

Also within a few minutes drive you'll find a large choice of shops and restaurants offering everything you'd need for your self catering holiday in France.
